The Deisseroth Lab is part of the Bioengineering Department at Stanford University. We develop and apply tools for controlling and mapping specific elements within intact biological systems. We are interested both in natural behaviorally-relevant neural circuit dynamics, and in pathological dynamics underlying neuropsychiatric disease symptomatology and treatment.
